At Allergy and Asthma Care in Taunton, Massachusetts, owner Dr. Donald Accetta and his associates offer patients a wide range of treatments.  In 2011, in order to accommodate the over 100 patient visits a week, the decision was made to move the practice to a more spacious facility. Dr. Accetta and his staff did not have to look far to find a new office, choosing to move across the street to a new development where the office could be designed to meet the practice’s needs.

Capitalizing on the opportunity to customize his new office, Dr. Donald Accetta hired Vision 3 Architects but remained extremely involved in the design process, researching products that would help to create a hygienic and hypoallergenic healthcare environment for patients with allergies and respiratory issues.  The old Allergy and Asthma care offices had been carpeted throughout, including the waiting room, patient rooms and the lab, requiring constant cleaning and maintenance to remove particulates and allergens that could prove harmful.  After gathering samples of hardwood, vinyl and even traditional carpet, Dr. Accetta was still not satisfied that he had found a flooring solution that offered minimal maintenance requirements and would be hypoallergenic and hygienic.

Continuing his search, Dr. Donald Accetta was introduced to Debolon Rx™ Comfort from Mats Inc..  Debolon Rx™ provided a designer hardwood look, was easy to maintain never requiring scraping, waxing or buffing, gave off low VOCs and was carpet-like underfoot for the staff that were walking and standing all day.
