Healthy Flooring Silver
In order to meet the Healthy Flooring criteria, flooring must be free of 16 harmful chemical and material categories such as formaldehyde, ortho-phthalates, metals and more. The flooring must also have transparency documentation, be low VOC certified according to CA01350, and not require stripping, resealing or refinishing maintenance
Cradle to Cradle Certified Silver
The Cradle to Cradle product standard is a continual improvement process that spans five quality categories — material health, material reutilization, renewable energy and carbon management, water stewardship, and social fairness. A product receives an achievement level in each category, Basic, Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Platinum, with the lowest achievement level representing the product’s overall mark.
GreenGuard Gold Certified
GREENGUARD Certification helps designers and buyers identify products that have low chemical emissions. It is a third-party certification that scientifically proves a product meets some of the world’s most rigorous chemical emission standards to help reduce indoor air pollution and the risk of chemical exposure to building occupants. The GREENGUARD Gold Certification standard includes health based criteria for additional chemicals and also requires lower total VOC emissions levels to ensure that products are acceptable for use in environments such as schools and healthcare facilities.
HPD Transparent
Health Product Declarations (HPDs) provide a full disclosure of the potential chemicals of concern in products. The platform is used to compare the product ingredients to a set of priority “hazard” lists based on the GreenScreen for Safer Chemicals and additional lists from other government agencies.
EPD Transparent
Environmental Product Declarations (EPD)
communicate transparent, independently verified and comparable information
about products’ life-cycle environmental impact.
Declare Transparent
Declare is a transparency vehicle and product
database that helps designers answer three questions:
Where does a product come from?
What is it made of??
Where does it go at the end of its life?
